    Here’s an example of one of my routines:

    Warm-Up: 15-30 min.
    – Diatonic 3rds Arpeggio Patterns (E Major)

    Technique: 1 hr
    – E Phrygian Scale in 1st position
    – Ascending & Descending Slurs
    – Carlevaro Arpeggio Studies (selected patterns)
    – Left-Hand Finger Independence Exercises (chromatic octaves, Odair’s drill, etc.)

    Rep: 1.5-2 hrs
    – In Progress Piece 1: 30 min
    – In Progress Piece 2: 30 min
    – New Material: 0.5-1 hrs

    Wow that sounds like some practice routine! What material are you currently working on?

      Etudes! ; )

      Specifically, more Carcassi studies, some Giuliani etudes, and I’m trying to work towards more Villa-Lobos etudes as well.

      And, I’m also recently on a Jorge Morel kick, learning the rest of his Sonatina, Misionera, and Danza Braziliera!

      Ooo Danza Braziliera is such a nice piece!
      I’m currently working on Sor 7, Villa-Lobos Etude 1, and I just started learning Suite Venezolana by Antonio Lauro.
      My goal is to get the suite sounding good enough to play on my sophomore recital next semester.
